As campers get older, Shemesh staff work on building self-confidence, independence and relationships. We offer consistent and ongoing programming that allows campers to build skills over summer. This enables campers to feel ownership of their day with ratios of 1:8.

Thank you so much for providing an amazing summer for [our] boys! It means so much to have an inclusive environment for [them] to be in. [Our son] grew so much socially and had an amazing time!

[Our son] comes home with the biggest smile I have ever seen and is the most contented, happy child after camp. He doesn’t just love it…he LOVES it. Thank you to your wonderful staff. I am already looking forward to next year!

I love the friends that I have made during my time at Shemesh Camp. When I was first hired for the job, I could instantly feel the sense of family and friendship that runs rampant in the camp.

It has been so special to grow up in such a special community. I love that I have the opportunity to be a part of some of our campers’ first-ever camp experience!

Thanks to The J, our son knows a little more about Israeli culture, has a ton of new friends and a newfound sense of self-confidence thanks to the awesome adventures he experienced.

Shemesh provided the environment that allowed my girls to socialize in a safe, controlled setting. Shemesh also provided enriching activities that helped make summer vacation both productive and fun.

Shalom Parent

Shemesh Camp at The J worked tirelessly to find unique and fun ways to keep my kids happy…My [tweens] felt like they had control over their camp day and got to experience things that they had never been exposed to. Todah Rabah Shemesh!
